Journalist, photographer and 2020 graduate of the University of Maryland.
As a graduate of Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland, I have spent the last four years photographing all Maryland sports. I have traveled to away games in Ohio, Philadelphia, New Jersey and Michigan. I have also photographed the 2019 NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Championship game and the 2017 Big Ten Tournament.
My passion for photography goes back to my childhood. Whether it was a Polaroid or a point-and-shoot Fujifilm, or a hand-me-down Canon Rebel, I have always had a camera in hand or close-by. Everyone in my life has been a subject at one point or another, and animals are an endless source of inspiration for me.
I like to say that I love photographing sports so much because I realized at a young age that I wasn’t going pro at anything involving athletics. However, I have been a horseback rider for 17 years, and I will argue with anyone who doesn’t consider it a sport any day.
